Used for synthesis and dehydration of amikacin and amino acids. It is a good low temperature biochemical dehydrating agent, and also used for synthesis of acids, anhydrides, aldehydes, ketones, etc. It is also used in the synthesis of peptide and nucleic acid, and in the production of antihypertensive hormone and cyclic adenosine monophosphate.
